Member

A member is a financial institution which is a member of VISA USA and/or MasterCard International. A member is licensed to issue cards to cardholders, accept merchant drafts and acquire transactions.

A member must in turn ensure that Member Service Providers process transactions, provide cardholder processing services and perform merchant and cardholder solicitation in line with the rules and regulations of VISA and MasterCard.
