Service Entitlement Number

A Service Entitlement Number (SE number) is a merchant account number.

A Service Entitlement Number is assigned by and required for credit card processing and online credit card processing by Visa or Mastercard, Discover, Diners Club and cheque services. Service entitlement numbers by Discover are 15 digits and start with 6011. Cheque SE numbers can start with any number and vary in length.

A Service Establishment Number is the same as a service entitlement number but is just for American Express. It is 9 digits in length.
