Franchise

A franchise is an agreement that enables a third-party to market and sell goods or services, which are owned by another manufacturer or supplier, in a particularly territory. The franchise is subject to the terms and conditions of a contract, which can include an obligation for the original manufacturer to provide national advertising or to train staff in return for the meeting of specified sales targets. The third-party usually keeps a certain percentage of sales income.

In other cases, a franchise may involve the licensing of a third-party to manufacture a product to the specification of the franchisor and the sale of this product to retailers.

Many large corporations offer franchise opportunities, such as a McDonalds franchise, a Starbucks franchise or a Subway franchise. There are very successful franchises for sale, you can attend a franchise exhibition to obtain more information on franchise opportunities.
