Hypertext Mark-Up Language (HTML)

Hypertext Mark-Up Language (HTML) is the language used to write pages for the Internet. This language lets the text include codes that define fonts, layout, embedded graphics, and hypertext links, thereby defining the structure and exact layout of a Web document.

Each individual markup code is reffered to an element but can also be known as hypertext markup language tags. The current version of HTML is HTML 4.0, however what is referred to sometimes as HTML 5.0 is actually called Extensible Hypertext Markup Language. Web developers using the more advanced features of HTML 4.0 are using significant features that are called dynamic hypertext markup language.
